Michelle Izquierdo possesses a unique eye for color, passion for femininity, and knack for transforming everyday textures into interactive art. She captivates audiences with work inspired by her Latin culture and evolving womanhood.
Michelle has showcased her artwork throughout the DC metro area, New York, and London. She has been featured in Everything Is Art magazine and the Germantown Patch; she has also served as the artist of the month at ArtJamz. Michelle has live painted at several events across DC and her work has been featured on several DC-based blogs including D.C. Black, All The Many Layers, Twenties Unscripted, and Ever So Roco.
Michelle curated Spirit in Fall 2015 alongside Vanessa Smith, an artistic experience with work that represented the essence of femininity. She followed the show with Color Theory in Spring 2016, a collaboration alongside several local artists with pieces connected by color harmony.
When she is not painting, Michelle enjoys teaching art, creating custom pieces for commission, and partnering with other artists to design and develop shows. Michelle resides in the DC metro area where she’s working on her Fall 2016 collection.
